Kentrol at The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival 2017!

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival has become one of the premier Jeep events in the country and is certainly one of the largest in the East. It’s known as the Birthplace of the Jeep and this event brings thousands of Jeepers out to celebrate the heritage of their Jeep.

It takes place at the Cooper’s Lake Campground, a few miles northwest of Butler, near the intersection of Interstate 79 and State Route 422. Cooper’s Lake Campground is a great venue. They had 135 vendors offering everything from vintage used parts to the newest and most trick aftermarket stuff, the Jeep History Exhibit, a big show ’n’ shine field, and plenty of good food.

We attended the 2017 Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival again this year. Overall, we had a great weekend with really good weather. We saw thousands of customers and had an opportunity to showcase all of our new products to them. The weekend goes quickly because there is always a Jeep enthusiast standing in the booth that’s curious about Kentrol products.

For an event, Bantam offers the customer a lot. The Event kicks off Friday with an obstacle course, offsite trails, historic Jeep tours and a Jeep invasion on Friday night in downtown Butler PA. Saturday and Sunday offer tons of activities for the customer to participate in. One thing that we specifically enjoy is the WWII encampment. There are vintage Jeeps with tents setup just like they would have been during WWII with fully dressed participants, tents and support vehicles. It’s like going back in time.

The mission of the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association Inc. is to educate the public about the history of the Bantam jeep’s creation in Butler, Pennsylvania through the annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival and to support charitable endeavors, including through contributions to other 501(c)(3) organizations.

There's something very fitting about a Jeep event in Butler, Pennsylvania. After all, it’s where the Jeep began.

Kentrol recently released Front and Rear 1997-06 TJ Wrangler bumpers!

Kentrol recently released Front and Rear 1997-06 TJ Wrangler bumpers that are made from stainless steel and powder coated black.

We decided to make these bumpers because the factory bumpers on this model year Jeep are faded, dented or rusty. Kentrol created a solution that is made from a marine grade 304 Stainless Steel so the customer won’t worry about rust. This would be a great replacement if your TJ has been in an accident and it’s a significant upgrade over the factory bumper.

The Kentrol Stainless Steel bumpers include all the necessary holes to mount factory accessories and includes the 6 bumper screws needed to attach it to the frame of your Jeep.

We set the industry standard more than 30 years ago by manufacturing high quality stainless steel accessories for your Jeep.  Our products are made from T-304 stainless steel. We do 100% inspection of our parts before shipping to ensure you receive the highest quality.  Whether you are looking for a polished or black powder coated finish, with our limited lifetime warranty, we have the accessory to meet your needs.

Kentrol TJ tailgate hinges!

Are the tailgate hinges on your 1997 to 2004 and 2006 TJ Wrangler, Rubicon or Unlimited rusty, popping, seized or drooping? Then it’s probably time to replace them with a set of Kentrol Stainless Steel Tailgate Hinges. A  Kentrol Employee found themselves in this same situation when they purchased a used 2004 TJ that spent time in the northeast salt belt. When the TJ was purchased it had seized tailgate hinges that made opening the tailgate difficult at best. Kentrol immediately pulled the Jeep in the shop and replaced the tailgate hinges with a set of Stainless Steel Tailgate Hinges to eliminate the problem and give the Jeep a new and fresh look. The factory hinges are an issue because when they were manufactured there was no concern with hanging larger tires and wheels on the rear tailgate which will cause the bushings and hinges to wear out prematurely. Mopar also didn’t prep the surface under the tailgate hinge which allows the paint to bubble around the hinge and onto the factory hinge surface. You’ll never experience this issue with a Kentrol Tailgate Hinge because they are made from 304 Grade Stainless Steel, even the Black Powder Coated pieces are made from 304 Grade Stainless Steel. If the tailgate hinges on your TJ are looking a little rough or are no longer functioning checkout the Kentrol Tailgate Hinges.

Kentrol Brings New Products to SEMA

Viva Las Vegas!

Kentrol is making its way to the City of Lights to attend this year’s SEMA Show and exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nov. 3–6.

We look forward to this show every year, and we’re very excited to remind friends we’ve made there why Kentrol offers the best in specialty Jeep parts and accessories, while introducing our products to a brand new audience.

We have plenty to show off that’s new, including black textured stainless, replacement rubber hood latches and ready-to-paint steel accessories for the JK, stainless steel mirrors and accessories for the CJ, YJ, TJ, and JK. We’re bringing many of these new items to the show, so visit us at booth #33031 to get your first look.

SEMA is the automotive industry’s premier gathering of manufacturers of specialty auto products. Businesses will introduce more than 1,600 new and featured products to more than 60,000 qualified buyers, 73% of whom are more likely to buy from a SEMA exhibitor.

See you in Vegas!

For the Love of Mud: 2015 4Wheel Drive Jamboree

Things got reeeaaally dirty at this year’s 4WD Jamboree, which means it was a total success!

Last month, 4,200 mudders showed up with Jeeps and other vehicles in tow to 4WD’s Columbiana headquarters for the 17th Annual 4WD Jamboree for some serious fun, including a rock crawl, mud pit, obstacle course, and the Kentrol-sponsored Show ‘N’ Shine event. We had 1,545 Jeeps climbing, crawling, and plowing through the mud. It was a blast! In case you missed it, here are some pictures from the event! Thanks to 4WD for supplying some great shots from their album.

Jeep & Greet...

The Jamboree kicked off on Friday, Sept. 25, with a Jeep & Greet at the Sandwich Factory parking area in Columbiana.

Because Mud...

So. Much. Fun. It was amazing to see what a Jeep can climb and crawl over, but things definitely got extremely bumpy for the passengers. You will get jostled around. 4WD grabbed some great action shots from the obstacle course and the mud pit!

Friends and Family...

Kentrol had a Rubicon on display that was detailed half and half, so attendees could take a look at two different finishes. We also gave away two door prizes: black-textured hood kits for JK. There was also plenty to keep the kiddos occupied, including go karts and CJ, 4WD's mascot.

Show 'N' Shine...

We had 94 Jeeps entered into this year’s Show ‘N’ Shine event. There were some incredible entries and the judges had a real tough time picking the winners, who took home some really cool trophies that were custom-welded from gear install parts from 4Wheel Drive Hardware’s shop. Too cool!
